Press & media resources.

Sabee is the operations platform for independent hotels, hostels, aparthotels and specialist accommodation providers across Europe and beyond. This page collects the boilerplate, figures, timeline and assets our press contacts most often ask for.

Boilerplate (short)

Sabee is a cloud property management platform for independent hotels, hostels, aparthotels and specialist accommodation operators, combining PMS, channel management, a direct booking engine, revenue analytics and accounting in a single system. Sabee Cloud OÜ is based in Tallinn, Estonia, and serves properties across 42 countries.

Boilerplate (long)

Founded in 2019 by hospitality operators Kertu Sepp and Priit Rannik, Sabee began as an internal tool built to run the founders' own portfolio of independent hotels and hostels across Central Europe before becoming a standalone product. Today Sabee serves more than 2,400 properties in 42 countries, processing over €41 million in gross booking value every month across its booking engine and channel-manager connections. The platform unifies property management, channel distribution, a direct booking engine, revenue analytics, housekeeping and accounting into one system, positioned specifically for independent operators and small-to-mid-size groups who have outgrown entry-level tools but do not want the cost or rigidity of legacy enterprise PMS vendors. Sabee is headquartered in Tallinn, Estonia, operates as an EU data controller and processor under GDPR, and has raised a seed round in 2020 and a Series A in 2023.

Sabee's customer base spans boutique and independent hotels, backpacker and branded hostel networks, serviced-apartment operators, and a growing set of specialist accommodation formats including wellness retreats and eco lodges. What unites them is size and independence rather than a single property type — Sabee is built for operators running one property up through twenty or more, who need enterprise-grade depth in revenue management, channel distribution and accounting without the multi-year implementation timelines and per-property licensing costs typical of legacy hospitality software vendors. The company remains founder-owned and has not taken on institutional control alongside its investors, a structure the founders describe as central to keeping the product roadmap set by customer need rather than quarterly growth targets.

Founders

Kertu Sepp — Co-founder & CEO

Kertu spent nine years operating independent hotels and hostels across Estonia, Czechia and Spain before co-founding Sabee in 2019. She leads company strategy, sets the product roadmap in partnership with the engineering leadership team, and remains the primary voice for how Sabee's operator-first philosophy shows up in every feature decision. Kertu speaks regularly at independent hospitality conferences across Europe on direct-booking strategy and OTA dependency.

Priit Rannik — Co-founder & CTO

Priit led technology and revenue operations across the same hotel and hostel portfolio before co-founding Sabee alongside Kertu. He owns Sabee's engineering organisation and infrastructure strategy, including the platform's EU-hosted architecture and its security and compliance posture. Priit previously worked as a backend engineer in payments before moving into hospitality operations in 2013.
