Moving to Sabee from another system.
Sabee runs migrations as a structured project rather than an import wizard. Every property that comes across from another system starts with a scoping call, a documented data map, a rehearsed cutover window, and a two-week post-migration validation period. The pages below cover the specifics for the three most common migration sources.
The choice of source system changes the details of a migration but not the shape. Every migration follows the same four phases: scoping (what data comes across, what stays behind, what changes name); mapping (each source-system field aligned to a Sabee field with agreed defaults for gaps); cutover (a rehearsed transition window during which the old system is read-only and the new system takes over live bookings); and validation (two weeks of side-by-side reporting to confirm the numbers reconcile before the old system is decommissioned). What differs between sources is the specific data model of the source, the shape of its export tools, and the way its rate and inventory structures translate into Sabee's own model.
Below are the three migration paths Sabee runs most often. Each page covers the data mapping, week-by-week plan, downtime window, rate-strategy handover, and staff-training implications specific to that source system. If your current system isn't listed — for example, an older regional PMS specific to a national market — the from a legacy on-prem PMS page is the closest generic template, and the Sabee onboarding team routinely runs migrations from systems that never had a dedicated migration page written for them, using the same four-phase structure.
A migration is never a technical project alone. The technical side — the data map and the cutover window — is typically the smaller half. The larger half is the operational side: retraining reception, housekeeping and revenue on new workflows, resetting channel-manager connections so that OTAs continue receiving inventory during the switch, and reconciling the first two weeks of reports across both systems so finance is confident the new numbers match the old. The pages below cover both halves.

Every migration to Sabee, regardless of source, includes the same core deliverables from the onboarding team: a documented data map showing exactly which source-system fields land in which Sabee fields, agreed with the customer before any migration runs; a rehearsal migration into a Sabee sandbox workspace, using a full export from the source system, so any mapping errors surface in a non-production environment first; a cutover window of typically 4 to 8 hours during off-peak time, agreed with the customer against their booking pattern rather than imposed by Sabee's own schedule; and a two-week validation period during which Sabee reporting and source-system reporting are run in parallel so the numbers can be reconciled before the source system is turned off.
Migration is included in the standard onboarding programme — see onboarding — and does not attract a separate migration fee. The first month is included with onboarding so that the validation period runs on a live account without the customer being invoiced during it.
