The Sabee pilot pack.

The pilot pack is how most properties get their first real look at Sabee: a working environment built around your own property, your own rate plans and two of your own OTA channels, run alongside your existing system for a few weeks so nothing is put at risk while you decide.

What is included

Every pilot pack is built on the full Growth plan feature set, so what you see is exactly what a paying Growth customer runs day to day — nothing scaled down or simplified for the occasion.

  • A dedicated Growth-plan workspace configured around your property, room types and rate plans
  • Two connected OTA channels of your choice (Booking.com, Expedia, Airbnb, Hostelworld or others)
  • A preview booking engine live on a subdomain, with your branding and real rates
  • One structured onboarding call with a hospitality consultant to set everything up together
  • Chat and email support with a median four-hour response time during the pack
  • Full export of everything you enter, in CSV or JSON, whenever you want it

What is not included

The pilot pack is intentionally scoped so it never touches your live operation or your live domain. A few things are reserved for a paid plan:

  • Production go-live on your own custom domain — the pilot runs on a Sabee preview subdomain only
  • Custom integrations beyond the standard channel and PSP connections (these are an Enterprise arrangement)
  • Multi-property view — the pilot is scoped to a single property so setup stays fast
  • Priority or phone support — pilot support runs on chat and email only

How long it runs

Most pilot packs run for roughly three weeks from your kick-off call. That is long enough for reception, revenue and housekeeping to actually use the workspace across a normal operating rhythm — a full pricing cycle, a weekend rush, a mid-week lull — rather than judging Sabee from a single afternoon. We can run it shorter if you already know your operation well and want a fast decision, or extend it by a week if your channel connections need more back-and-forth with an OTA's own support team.

What happens after

At the end of the pilot pack you have two options, and we ask you to pick one rather than let the workspace drift. If Sabee fits, we activate your paid plan, move you onto your own domain, and fold straight into week one of the full onboarding programme — your rate plans and channel connections carry over, so nothing is rebuilt from scratch. If it does not fit, we export every rate plan, reservation and reporting record you created in the format of your choice and archive the workspace; your data is deleted within 30 days as required by GDPR, and nothing is left running or billed.

The setup-fee waiver

Properties that go through a pilot pack and then activate a paid plan have the standard setup fee waived in full — one incentive for going through the pilot rather than skipping straight to a paid signup with no hands-on look at the workspace first. It is the single biggest reason most of our new customers choose to start here rather than committing on day one.

How many pilots convert

Across the properties who complete a full pilot pack, our onboarding team targets and consistently sees roughly seven in ten move on to a paid Sabee plan. The properties that do not convert are almost always ones where a specific OTA connection or a niche integration turned out not to be ready yet, rather than dissatisfaction with the core platform — which is exactly the kind of thing a pilot pack is designed to surface early, before you have committed budget or migrated your live operation.

Who runs your pilot

The same hospitality consultant who runs your kick-off call stays with you for the full three weeks — you are not handed off to a rotating support queue partway through. They have typically run pilots for properties similar to yours: boutique hotels like Casa del Callejón in Madrid, independent hostels like The Prague Bunkhouse, and aparthotel operators like Milano Corti in Milan, all of which are documented on our customer stories page.
