Sabee was founded in 2019 by three hospitality operators who had spent a decade running independent properties on tools built by people who had never worked reception.
Why we started Sabee
Between 2010 and 2018 our founding team ran a portfolio of six independent hotels and two hostels across Central Europe. We tried every PMS on the market. We tried building custom software on top of legacy PMSes. We tried duct-taping a channel manager, a booking engine, and a spreadsheet accounting workflow into something that resembled a coherent operating platform.
None of it worked well enough. So in 2019 we sold the properties, took the capital, and started building the platform we had needed for a decade. That platform is Sabee.
Who owns Sabee
Sabee is owned by its three founders and the team. We have not taken venture capital and we have no plans to. Our growth is funded by our own revenue, which means the product roadmap is set by our customers and not by the next quarterly board meeting.
Where we are
Sabee is a distributed company with team members in Tallinn, Berlin, Barcelona, Prague and Lisbon. Our legal entity is Sabee Cloud OU, registered in Estonia (reg. 14975208, VAT EE102948371) with its registered office at Rotermanni 8, 10111 Tallinn. All customer data is hosted inside the European Union with primary infrastructure in Frankfurt and secondary in Dublin.
How we work with customers
Every Sabee customer has a real hospitality operator to talk to. The support team, the onboarding team, the customer success team — every one of them has spent time working reception, running a night audit, or managing a housekeeping crew. That is not a marketing line, it is a hiring policy.
We publish real numbers. When we say direct bookings lift 38% on the median customer, that is a median of 480 actual properties, not a projection. When we say uptime is 99.98%, that is measured, published on our status page, and audited quarterly. If we do not know a number, we say so.
What we will not do
We will not build a plugin marketplace where third parties can charge you per module. We will not add a feature we cannot support ourselves. We will not sell your data or your guests' data to anyone, for any reason, at any price. We will not launch a POS for restaurants because we do not believe we can build the best one, and best-of-breed integrations serve you better than an average one from us.
